Improbable - ScavLab

ScavLab was a mass multiplayer sandbox mode that Improbable were working on to prototype game modes with 1000s of participants. It ran for around 5 months with lots of different game mode prototyping from 5000 players vs 20,000 zombies, mass downhill racing to a platforming time trial.

On this project I was responsible for procedural world building, lighting, optimisation and additional materials. Plus we had some remit from Midwinter to try to distinguish the art style in a more 'simulation' direction to make it clear this wasn't the main MP mode for Scavengers. Exploring this direction with materials and post processing effects was fun to do.
