Improbable - Grand Avant

This was a repurposed project at Improbable to take a previously parked mobile compatible multiplayer mission hub 'The Grand Avant' and update it to UE5 with a tiny budget while modifying the layout to be more suitable as a corporate demonstration space.
To do this we needed to upres every asset and rebuild the majority of the level out of more modular pieces (it was previously parked mix of greybox and concept geometry). The Art Deco style was something that was fun to work with and the opulence suited the kind of customer demos the level would be used for.
My responsibility included
Art leadership and prioritisation with a very tight budget and timeline
Art direction with concept art support
Initial design of the level flow
Porting of content from 4.23 bespoke geometry to UE5 modular assets
Asset outsourcing pipeline
Asset briefs, feedback and integration
All UE5 pipeline definitions for Nanite and Lumen
Lighting
Materials + Smart material definition
