Improbable - First Trip

First Trip was a collaboration built with Yuga Labs over around 8 weeks. It was a massively multiplayer choreographed event for thousands of players with very little preproduction time. We were scrambling to get content ready for this event and had to use every trick we could to get something out in time.

For this project I was responsible for procedural world creation of two different floating islands, environment materials & character materials, optimisation and making the dynamic&reactive lighting systems that could respond to the event script. I also built the initial 'white room' holding space and did a lot of special effects material work for things like wormholes and sky beams.

The event was a big success for us and our partners and it set expectations for a tighter collaboration on our next Yuga event.
